I have been working as a graphic designer since 2011, working with various mediums, including print and web media, sketching, digital design, video editing, 3D character work, leaflet design, posters, cinematography, and sign-writing.
I began my design education in Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa, Cork, by studying Multimedia from 2006 to 2008, gaining a FETAC Level 5 BTEC that had me working with various design programs such as Adobe Suite (focusing namely on PhotoShop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash), Combustion, and 3DS Max. I furthered my design education over the years, by gaining a FETAC Level 5 Award in Signwriting from SOLAS in 2011 (which gave me experience working with SignLab, along with extra experience with signwriting methods such as gold leaf, painting, vinyl lettering, and sandblasting), a WebActivate 2.0 Level 6 CPD Diploma from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2013 (giving me experience in WordPress), and a QQI Level 5 award in Graphic Design from St. John’s Central College in 2015 (which furthered my design skills in PhotoShop, Illustrator and WordPress, and gave me fresh experience working with InDesign and CSS). I also obtained a Diploma in Photography from Shaw Academy in 2016, which has allowed me to expand on image manipulation techniques with my Nikon D3300 DSLR.
Over the years, I’ve worked with numerous clients on diverse projects and campaigns, including: SuperValu, Abortion Support Network, The Last Round, the TogetherForYes campaign, Abortion Rights Campaign, Bi+ Ireland, Togán Labs, Anti Austerity Alliance, Centra, No Borders Productions, Retro Promenade, Bad Art, Bow Wow Beauty, Rebel Reads, J Herrera Photography, and Northern Lights Music.
My designs have also been published in various releases; in 2015 one of my pieces was selected for publication in MINE Anthology, which available for purchase here.
